In the metallurgical and melting fields, a ladle is a vessel used to transport high temperature metal or pour out molten metals. Usually it has three different types, for example, casting ladle, transfer ladle, treatment ladle. Ladles are normally rated by their working capacity rather than by their physical size. Casting ladle: a ladle used to pour molten metal into moulds to produce the casting. Transfer ladle: a ladle used to transfer a large amount of molten metal from one process to another. Typically a transfer ladle will be used to transfer molten metal from a primary melting furnace to either an holding furnace or an auto-pour unit. Treatment ladle: a ladle used for a process to take place within the ladle to change some aspect of the molten metal. A typical example being to convert cast iron to ductile iron by the addition of various elements into the ladle.

Slag pots are crucial items as they are part of lifting equipment and therefore undergo in terms of mechanical design engineering and handling the national safety regulations of the state where they are supposed to be operated. Thus, the following design criteria must be taken into consideration: Type of furnace that the slag pot will service, Quantity and type of slag generated, Method of handling and dumping the pot, Heat impact during operation, Dimensional restrictions, Pot maintenance procedures Slag pots designed by CSM comply with the requirements of structure dimensions, mechanical properties and guarantee by chemical composition, heat treatment, non-destructive testing and visual inspection against surface.

Ingot mould, which is used in metallurgical and melting fields, is a cast mold in which the liquid steel solidificated into a ingot. MATERIAL We CSM ingot moulds are made from Cast Ductile Iron and Cast Steel. All the material will according to customer specific requirement.

Crucibles are cast steel molds for the casting of aluminum ingot for remelt storage and/ or transportation. Dimensions and design can be customized to customer requirements, including the casting of customer’s logo, and additional of feet and/or lugs for material handling.
